Gateway to Africa Leadership Program
This course is designed for Africans all over the world and Africans in the Diaspora who currently reside outside of the continent of Africa in places like the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe. Its purpose is to inform executive students about the current status of the African continent and African culture for those desiring to know more about the “Motherland” and desiring to experience authentic African culture from anywhere around the world. It will provide an overview of African life, history, culture, economics, and world impact. It will address colonization and the efforts to heal and restore a unified Continent and healing relationships between Africans on the Continent and the diaspora Africans located around the globe. The course will focus on exposing the Diaspora to the current African economy and projected growth in many sectors of society. It will include how to do business on the Continent, travel to the Continent, and its unique arts, music, and tourism industries. It will introduce a number of ways in which those in the Diaspora can connect with Africa from wherever they are in the world. It will outline the process to visit the Continent and to return home for some.
This is a 100% online/virtual course that will be conducted using the Zoom platform. We will meet for four sessions that are 2.5 hours in duration. Executive students will have opportunities to network together with today’s aspiring world leaders gaining invaluable information and knowledge based on real-world experiences. They will have opportunities to form permanent meaningful relationships that will endure long after the class is over.
